A few years ago, several YouTube vinyl collectors came together to create the YouTube Vinyl Community, a small, new group on Facebook. In a few short years, the group has gone through many changes and has brought on a colossal amount of new members. As of March 2014, the group has about 2.5K members from across the world. The group can be found here: www.facebook.com/groups/116959488388249/

Aside from being a great way to discuss music and vinyl in general, the VC is home to many talented and gifted musicians. This new compilation features a few songs from fellow VC members. Some of the songs that appear on the compilation have been chosen by the artists themselves to appear on this album.

To keep the community vibe flowing, the album has been released for free on Bandcamp. Share it with friends, family, and others that have the same passion for music as you do. This album’s mission is to spread the feeling of brotherhood throughout the vinyl community, and I certainly hope that’s how things will transpire.

Additionally, if you plan to contribute some cash to the project, proceeds will go to Music Unites, a non-profit organization helping to build musical education programs for under-privileged schools and communities. (More details: www.musicunites.org)
