Rising from the ashes of indie pop band Troubled Hubble, Kid, You'll Move Mountains is an Illinois rock quintet consisting of brothers Nate and Andrew Lanthrum, guitarist Corey Wills, of Chicago’s Inspector Owl; guitarist/vocalist Jim Hanke, of Milwaukee’s El Oso; and classically trained pianist/vocalist Nina Lanthrum.
Although the majority of the band's songs rely on the vocals by Hanke and Lanthrum, their sound is crafted through Nate Lanthrum's pounding rhythms, as well as the grooves of Andrew Lanthum and the airy guitar leads of Willis.
The band released their debut album, Loomings, in 2009.
The latest from indie rock outfit Activity has a charmingly sinister feel, blending in stark rhythms and washes of dark ambient. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 8, 2023
